Well here is the finished painting! Turned out a little bit different than I imagined. I can really tell that I'm missing acrylics. That's OK, watercolors and I are getting along just fine.
This painting however made me realize I need to practice more water paintings. I want to get a little more dimension. So I am gonna work on a tutorial. It's still not easy, and I'll post photos when I complete it.
Well hope you like, and have a great day!

Water Painting Update.....
Well I'm getting there. Sometime it's scary starting a painting, making that first mark. It can set the flow and direction from then on.
This is also the first time I've documented and shared a painting in progress. I thought it might be neat to try it.
I started with a yellow, purple background sky. I wanted to be able to have the sky colors reflected into the water for more dimension. So far its been just layering. I'm working on the darkening, detail and lines. Hopefully I'll finish tonight for posting Monday.

Ready to Paint.....
I finally got this sketch completed, transfered and ready to paint! This looks simple but painting water can be quite a challenge. Getting the movement, depth and colors just the way you imagine. I want this painting to be more than just "blue".
I make my own transfer paper by rubbing graphite powder on a separate sheet( or on the back of the tracing paper). I like doing it this way, because I can make it as light or dark as I need. it's easy to erase from the finished painting as well.
I will post an update half way.

Sabrina's Art Shop
I keep thinking about getting more art prints done. Now that my collection is becoming more various. I currently have a Shop on Etsy, where you can purchase original art and prints. Unfortunately I only have 1 of each available. So I am announcing that by Sunday, I will have more prints for sale. I make the prints as they are ordered for now. So it can take an extra day or two for me to get them sent off. A little more if you order on a weekend or holiday.
I will try to post all the ones that I can. If you see one you would like that's not listed, let me know and I will see what I can do. Some originals are gone and I have no way of getting prints anymore with the quality of photo's I have.
Also don't forget you can also contact me for personal sales, especially if you are local. Save on shipping for everybody. Plus not everyone is comfortable ordering online. So please don't hesitate. Contact, shipping and payment information can all be found on my website.( see link to your right)
Have a great rest of your day!

That was nice.....
I started doing some wildlife (bird) drawings this weekend. I haven't done a full drawing without it turning into a painting for quite sometime. The first one I did traditionally starting with line and working my way to shading and detail.
The second one I used graphite powder. I covered the whole paper with graphite and erased my drawing; adding and taking as I went. Fun.

Springs Comes This Year....He He
My 1st painting of the year. Watercolor, 12x16, on paper. This one took me about 2 days to sketch, draw, outline then transfer and outline again. I started painting it Jan 1st and only just finished it 2 days ago.
Because it has been so long since my last watercolor painting, I found I had to re-learn a few techniques along the way. So I learned lots and look forward to my next painting. a water theme!

New Year....New Ambitions
Happy New Year! I'm already excited for this one. I have rediscovered that art is the only career path for me. My love for it is undeniable. I deleted my Handmade Children's Clothing Business. Although I will still have a hobby website. I'm going to be expecting my 3rd child in June, I know. So I'll be painting more than ever before my next break. This year I am going to be painting strictly in watercolors. With both my other two pregnancies and thereafter, I couldn't use acrylics without feeling sick or faint. I will continue with them when I am ready. Well have a great January!
